The Prometheus Radio Project announces that from Nov. 15–Dec. 17 the organization will travel throughout the Southern United States to promote community radio and low-power FM in its Reclaim the Airwaves Tour!

Prometheus hopes to explain the necessary steps for applying for an LPFM license to interested groups because the FCC will accept applications for a new community radio stations in 2013.

So far the tour has confirmed stops in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, N.C., Durham, N.C., Knoxville, Tenn., Miami, New Orleans and Orlando, Fla., but Prometheus hopes to expand to more cities throughout the Southeast, as far west as Louisiana. Those interested in helping to host a visit should contact Jeff Rousset.
