AirKast, a developer of applications for mobile platforms such as smartphones, announced a deal to provide several major regional radio broadcasters with mobile apps for their stations.

The deal included Ando Media's Triton Digital division, a provider of streaming, measurement and ad injection services.

The broadcasters are Bonneville International (owner of 26 stations), NRG Media (45 stations) and Hall Communications (21 stations).

AirKast's TuneKast app will be customized for the various stations and usable across iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms.

The supplier quoted Bonneville VP of Digital Media Mark Preston saying AirKast is an integrated mobile platform that helps its digital teams manage and distribute content to mobile devices.
