Audinate Says Broadcast Makers Like Dante

The creator of
a media networking technology says it is gaining “rapid adoption” among
broadcast manufacturers.
Audinate said the
growth of Dante media networking was apparent at the IBC show in
Amsterdam. “It was evident that Dante is being deployed by a large number of
OEM equipment vendors in the broadcast industry.” It said 20 of its 60 OEM
manufacturer partners have some involvement in broadcast.
Companies listed as adopting it include Yamaha, Salzbrenner Stagetec
Mediagroup, NTP Technology, Sierra Automated System, DELEC, Bosch, Sound Devices,
Digital Audio Denmark, Soundcraft, DHD-Audio, Jato and RTS/Telex.
The company’s Director of Marketing Ervin Grinberg was quoted
in the announcement emphasizing that Dante is available now and
provides s migration path to standards such as AVB.
Audinate is headquartered in Australia and was spun off of National ICT Australia in 2006. It promotes Dante as “the first truly compliant IP over Ethernet networking solution for the professional audio/visual industry, capable of transmitting many channels of high-bandwidth, uncompressed sample-accurate digital media with imperceptible latency and high synchronization performance.”
