The NAB Radio Show this month in Austin starts in 12 days; it will include a panel discussion on how broadcasters can generate additional revenue from HD Radio channels.

Titled “HD Radio: From Novelty to Viable Commodity,” the session will be held Friday, Sept. 19.

The panel, moderated by WHUR(FM), Washington Program Director David Dickinson, will examine challenges that stations face during the transition to digital, and money-making opportunities that can be derived once the transition has been completed.

Panelists include Paul Brenner, vice president of integrated technologies for Emmis Communications; Steve DeVries, product manager of Connected Services, NAVTEQ; Jeff Littlejohn, executive vice president of distribution development at Clear Channel Radio; and Ken Williams, program director of the independent artist station iChannel.fm and the iChannel HD Radio network.
