Multicasting has come to C-Span Radio in Washington.

WCSP(FM), which airs public affairs programming on 90.1 MHz in the nation’s capital, said on its Web site that listeners now can hear three channels of programming.

The HD2 channel will be used for gavel-to-gavel coverage of the House of Representatives, while HD3 will be used for the Senate. Other C-Span programming will fill the rest of the time on those channels.

The station manager, Kate Mills, explained multicasting to viewers in a video online.
