At CES, Frontier Silicon rolled out the Chorus 2i baseband receiver "system on chip."

It said the chip will accelerate introduction of new home audio systems by bringing Internet radio and streaming into mass-market radios and audio systems.

It says the move brings 10,000 Internet radio stations and network audio streaming capability to WiFi radios that retail for under $100.

The firm quotes research that predicts a potential total available market of over 10 million WiFi radio units by 2009.
