Delaware Station to Receive NAB Multicast Award

Graffiti Radio, HD2 channel of WSTW(FM) in Wilmington, Del. is the winner of the National Association of Broadcasters HD Radio Multicast Award.
This is the fourth year NAB has asked members to nominate multicast channels for recognition.
The award to the Delmarva Broadcasting Co. station will be presented during the radio lunch on Oct. 1 during the 2010 Radio Show in Washington. The show runs from Sept. 29–Oct. 1.
NAB EVP of Radio John David said WSTW’s multicast channel “provides exceptional programming with innovative musical entertainment.”
WSTW(FM)’s Graffiti Radio reaches listeners in the Wilmington and Philadelphia metros with a format featuring several styles, including indie rock, funk, pop and hip-hop. The station also connects to tech-savvy listeners with an interactive website with message board and DJ blogs, as well as daily updates on Facebook and Twitter, according to NAB.
Previous award recipients include KBCO(FM), Denver’s "The Studio C Channel," WRIF(FM), Detroit’s "Riff2," WHUR-WORLD, an extension of Howard University’s WHUR(FM), Washington, D.C. and WAMU(FM), also in Washington, for its Bluegrass Country station, 88.5-2.
As previously reported, the Radio Show lunch will feature a newsmaker interview conducted by Christiane Amanpour of ABC News plus the presentation of the National Radio Award, given this year to Charles Warfield of ICBC Broadcast Holdings.
