The HD Radio rollout is furthest along in Denver, Stockton, Calif. and Washington.

That’s according to an analysis from BIA Financial Network prepared for the Radio World HD Radio Scoreboard, appearing in the Oct. 24 issue of RW.

Those cities have the highest percentage of stations with HD Radio on the air, BIAfn found. About 55% percent of stations in Denver (market 22) have HD Radio activated. Other cities in the top 10 include Tampa/St. Pete, Los Angeles and Miami.

The markets with the highest number of stations (rather than the highest percentages) are L.A., Chicago, Dallas and Denver.

Statistics are provided by BIAfn using Ibiquity data. The scoreboard, sponsored by Broadcast Electronics, appears in the HD Radio News section of the Oct. 24 RW.
