KCRW Launches Spotify App

SoCal NPR flagship KCRW(FM), based in Santa Monica, has announced a dedicated app for the Spotify Internet music delivery system. According to the announcement KCRW is the first U.S. radio station to work with Spotify.

The app is called KCRW Music Mine for Spotify and is similar to the station’s previously released iPad app. 

The app is not a streamer but rather collects playlists devised by the station and its DJs. It then streams those songs. KCRW Music Mine for Spotify is updated daily and displays up to 100 tracks at a time, according to a release.
