With almost 50 stations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, Midwest Communications is turning its eyes to the neighboring Dakotas.

It has signed a deal to buy the stations of Radio Fargo-Moorhead, the owner of a former Clear Channel cluster in the Fargo, N.D. market. FCC approval is pending.

The stations in the purchase are KBVB(FM), KMJO(FM), KRWK(FM), WDAY(FM), KFGO(AM) and KVOX(AM). The formats range from pop and country music to sports and talk.
