Religious broadcasting network Moody Radio has initiated Spanish-language content in the Chicago area. The format will air on WMBI(AM) 1110.

Collin Lambert, vice president of Moody Radio, stated, “There are approximately 2 million Hispanics living in Chicago; and with no Spanish-speaking, Bible-based Christian radio station serving them, we believe this station and its programming will fill a significant need for this community.”

The station will have original locally-produced programming along with utilizing other Spanish-language programming from Moody.

The website Chicagoland Radio and Media said the station had been airing an English-speaking Christian talk format, often a simulcast of WMBI(FM). The AM daytimer broadcasts from the Chicago campus of Moody Bible Institute.
