Version 9.0a of the PADapult metadata interface system from ENCO Systems has joined the flock and added Twitter and FriendFeed-compatibility. Twitter and FriendFeed are Internet-based social networks.

PADapult handles the transmission of selected information such as song titles, promotions or messages to RDS, HD Radio, Web sites and signage.

Besides being a standalone product capable of interfacing with third-party automation systems, PADapult is compatible with ENCO's DAD and Presenter automation systems.

ENCO founder and President Eugene Novacek said: "With the continued interest in social networking by radio broadcasters, the ability of natively support Twitter and FriendFeed in PADapult will give our radio clients another way to promote their stations and tighten the tie to listeners. We've also made a number of enhancements to PADapult making it even easier to configure and increasing its functionality."
