StreamGuys said Internet channel Whisperings is using its RevenueStream subscription platform to generate revenue for a premium online radio outlet.

The channel was founded by pianist/composer David Nevue; it is entirely about solo piano music. The supplier said the platform has allowed Whisperings to become listener supported by increasing revenue and defraying operating costs.

This is the subscription-based, commercial-free version of "Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio," which remains free. PureStream offers an expanded playlist in CD-quality format with no commercials.

Whisperings has grown its aggregate audience by 500 percent to more than 5,000 simultaneous listeners or about 50,000 streams each day, StreamGuys said. Nevue said, "Overall, we're seeing more than 1 million streams launched each month."
