V-Soft, developer of signal measurement software, has released an up-to-date manual, 200+ pages, for its Probe 4 signal propagation program.

Not only has it released the manual but it is a hard copy document, not a PDF on a disc or Web site, and it is mailing the manual for free to registered users of Probe 4.

The Probe 4 manual also can be purchased for $25 for interested non-registered parties.

In other Probe 4 news, version 4.06 adds a Google Earth conversion function. In English that means that Probe's native KML files with a regular map can have their features transferred to a Google Earth photo encompassing the same area as the graphic map.

V-Soft has also announced it has improved its free Internet-based Zip code-signal program. The program allows station signals to be viewed by Zip code. Station call letters, field strength, frequency and CDBS ID are some of the information provided.
