For stations with studios just a bit noisy, acoustical treatment is always a prescription. But egg crating got old a long time ago.
Enter Auralex and its SonicPrint ProPanels.
The company calls them a combination of a high-quality acoustical panel with varied style and design options.
SonicPrint ProPanels are panels for which the buyer provides the graphics. For radio stations the obvious choices could be station logos, promotional campaigns, most anything on a panel up to 4 feet x 8 feet, two inches thick. Sound absorption coefficients aren't going to match familiar foam pyramids and their brethren but rate a useful 0.14 at 125 Hz to 0.89 at 1 kHz and 0.78 at 4 kHz, enough to tamp down spurious background noise and keep in check most annoying room anomalies.
The chemically-hardened, fiberglass core panels have a Class A fire rating per ASTM E84. Wall mounting hardware is included.
Custom panels of up to 5 feet x 10 feet and up to four inches thick, in any shape can also be special ordered.
