| Orban Flashes Opticodec Upgrade |

Following the streaming meme, Orban has released version 3 of its streaming and file software encoders, Opticodec 1010 and Opticodec 1020.
The heart of the upgrade is RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) support. RTMP support allows the Opticodec platforms to work with Adobe Flash Media Server. Opticodec was already compatible with other major Internet media formats.
Greg Ogonowski, vice president of new product development for Orban, said: "The Adobe Flash Player is installed on 98% of all Internet-connected desktops, including Mac and Linux platforms. With support for Flash Media Server 3, Opticodec-PC now supports every major streaming server platform except Windows Media Server, so Opticodec-PC can stream to more players than any other modern codec."
